Seeking Community robin, jo, lily Posted On 10/29/2009, Last Updated On 10/29/2009
Hi there!
We are a small family of 3: (me)Robin 28, (my partner)Jo 29, and our daughter Lily 2.
we recently have found ourselves "stuck" living a suffocatingly boring existence in a world where the average is non-productive and uninteresting.

we are hard-working, diverse, mature, fun-loving people looking for a new start, new friendships and hopefully a different setting.

we are currently living in central Virginia, but are open to any possibility. preferably 100% income sharing, no fees, open religion. if you have room for three, we are interested!

Community With Opening New Talavana Posted On 10/27/2009, Last Updated On 10/27/2009
Our community, New Talavana, is actively seeking new members and also WWOOF volunteers. We are a dedicated spiritual community practicing Bhakti Yoga, and Krsna Consciousness. We are vegetarian and agricultural, raising all our own dairy and much of our fruits and vegetables year round.

We are especially seeking young single folks to carry on our spiritual services like temple worship, cow protection, agriculture, and our various outreach programs like book distribution and our local soup kitchen program. We are communal and intergenerational, with many children and young folks here. We have 1200 acres to do all sorts of sustainable projects like natural building, permaculture, timber bamboo, fuel crops, etc. We are also in the early planning stages of a permaculture-based ecovillage community on the property. We daily engage in our early-morning spiritual services and bhakti yoga practices like ecstatic kirtans, drumming, chanting, and readings from our sacred texts. Check out our listing at

Please email us if you are interested!
Thanks,
Bhakta Blake

Community Forming laSenda EcoVillage.. Posted On 4/27/2007, Last Updated On 10/25/2009
We're looking for emotionally mature, responsible, self-aware people, who see sustainable community based on agriculture as the new reality.

Since you are aware of many of the planet’s problems, including possible collapse of civilization as we know it- you will believe its time to do what we can to achieve sustainability in a rural agricultural based community of like minded people. We believe Tolles New Earth book gave us a path towards how to achieve that, how to live with higher awareness.

Our desire is to create our own future, rather than let events dictate it to us. At laSenda, we are striving to build a positive, sustainable community life through growing food, limiting consumerism, investing in alternative energy, using our well water, and outreaching to the greater community in meaningful ways.

LaSenda EcoVillage is 6 acres of beautiful land & trees, complete with 200 yards of ponds with flowing water, sustainable living units in the forest fronting the ponds, & rich soil for growing organic food. We have a mild year-round growing climate & very high solar hours.

As an intentional community, laSenda will use a legal structure which allows blocks of shares of equal value to be purchased, held, and sold. At laSenda, a full share includes a solar-passive rammed earth house & share of the land w/a buy-in range of $40K.

Check out our blog for more info. If you’re interested, contact us and we’ll be happy to answer your questions.

Community With Opening FalconBlanco Posted On 10/25/2009, Last Updated On 10/25/2009
We are urgently seeking members for our since 35 years existing 'Group of Friends' on the beautiful island Ibiza in Sspain. We see our life as a growing and healing process and we relate and respond to whatever shows up with the trust that this is a challenge and the best what can further ourselves, going beyond the limitations of our personalities, reaching out to new spaces... Daily meditation helps us. We do something to better this world, beginning with ourselves. - We don't deal with money and we don't follow belief systems of any kind. We accept anybody from this planet and beyond, as long as they are motivated and want to participate in our intentions, but NOT if they are smoker, drug consumer or alcoholics. Go to our Web site for more info.

Community With Opening wise owl society Posted On 10/20/2009, Last Updated On 10/20/2009
we are a forming community in Portland, OR. we occupy a six bedroom house in close-in metro Portland. there is a large upstairs room available. we are all vegetarians and vegans. three of us out of the five had been deeply committed for a decade to a large community in northern california. we set up shekina cafe at the rainbow gathering which hosted workshops during the day in our Bedouin tent providing meals and at night we had large stage built from hanging logs for theatrical performance and bands.

we would like to continue doing these types of en devours but find it necessary to create a non-profit community as a home-base. our past community has been gone for over four years now as an organization. this has lead us to establish a non-profit/community ourselves on more successful principles. we plan on obtaining land outside of Portland where we can practice sustainable living and spirituality with a house in the city for the arts and political action/activism. we follow a more contemplative model of christianity but accept all forms of orthodox denominations as well as most contemplative spiritual denominations. because of our eclectic spirituality a socratic method of seeking truth is adhered to. we follow strictly a consensus format of decision making. the winter is a time of innovation and the summer a time of sharing those innovations with the wider world. we do this by going to festivals, teaching workshops, and visiting other communities.
