Community With Opening Mountain's Brook Hideaway - Current Farm Name Posted On 5/16/2012, Last Updated On 5/16/2012
NW Massachusetts.

We currently have a mix of singles and families. We are involved in starting a new cooperative community here that is semi-established already, with lots of income producing opportunities.

We are currently starting a 3 acre garden and currently working on a camping site. Visions of tepees/yurts/hobbit houses/treehouses heated underground with outdoor woodburning furnances.

We have a huge amount of inventory available to the community if we need it.

We are omnivorous and welcome everyone from all walks of life. Plans to hunt and fish. We have a vision for a community kitchen. Growing vegetables.

It is beautiful here. Lots and lots of trees, brooks, a swimming pond, apple orchard, plans to have a fruit orchard up from the community site with a road already set for that area, disc-golf area, available property in the village area for income producing possibilities, such as a cooperative pub, market, cafe, thrift store, etc.

We are currently in the process of creating the vision statement and incorporating ideas for this beautiful area with huge historical values from the 18th century. We are seeking more people for the creation of this vision statement allowing you to have a part in creating your dreams with us as a whole. We don't have to do it alone and can make great things happen standing together as a family.

We are open to single members and families for membership.

People not sufficiently informed about critical issues are everywhere--and investing their time, energy, and money—voting—all the time

The challenges of our times are not something the experts will resolve while the rest of us are doing something else.

All of us have important responsibilities associated with resolving a significant number of very serious challenges ahead.

Everyone is involved when it comes to determining the markets which supply the “ways of earning a living”.

The ways we “invest” our time, energy, and money have a direct impact on the “ways of earning a living” that are available.

The investments of time, energy, and money that each of us make in our everyday circumstances becomes the larger economy.

Community With Opening laSenda EcoVillage Posted On 4/27/2007, Last Updated On 5/13/2012
IF YOU ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A COMMUNITY...
THAT IS ALMOST 100% SUSTAINABLE...

That will provide you with:

-A beautiful 870 sq ft of organic living area-cut stone walls, bamboo ceilings- with tiled bathrm & kitchen, large studio/2nd bedroom, 17' south facing all glass opening w/patio looking to a 90' waterlily fish pond 'a la Monet'...

-A equal share of the main Kitchen, Large Dining/ Patio / Community Center area, storerooms etc..

-Infrastructure which includes solar: hot water, PV panels for power, green houses for aquaponics and in ground food production, food dehydrators, protected well for clean water source w/ pumps and storage tanks...

-A equal share of the over 5 acres of land which includes 200 yards of fish ponds in a park like area...

All this is included in a one time buy-in price- shared very low cost of living payments will be your only on-going expense.

With a mild year- round climate with very high solar hours we have energy, water and good earth to grow food- to live sustainably and comfortably thru what appears to be troubling times ahead.

LaSenda is located in a beautiful river valley near San Miguel de Allende, a World Heritage city of vibrant art and culture. Six-thousand expats who live here can testify that we experience nothing like the mainstream media image of life in Mexico.
