Community Forming Sharing Circle Community Farm Posted On 3/14/2009, Last Updated On 7/3/2009
We are a start-up 10-acre vegetable & berry market farm/eco-village near Cincinnati. Community grows from shared vision & shared work. Shared visions are brighter, & shared burdens are lighter. You can help shape that vision, share the work, & shoulder expenses.
Our Vision: Farm-based land trusted [see EquityTrust.org], vegetarian, non-smoking community/conference center--of farmers, thinkers and do-ers--any age, no drugs--in the Maysville, KY area.
Our 3-step Plan: 1) Sell produce at the farmers market; 2) Create a CSA; 3) Form a Producers & Consumers Co-Op.
Two barns can be made over as living & workshop spaces.
Our Process: Weekly 'sharing circle' to discuss whatever, propose actions; meditate; make consensus decisions; take action. We attune before meals & work.
Our Farm Practice: Low-till, deep mulch, raised beds, w/ living mulch paths.
We choose a farm-based community, because of peak oil & global warming [communitysolution.org]. Vegetarian, for global sustainability, & conscious evolution [worldpeacediet.com]. Co-creative gardening, for greater cooperation w/ nature spirits [perelandra-ltd.com]. Other ideas welcome.
We have a lease-to-buy older 3-BR brick, book-lined, minimal TV home to share.
Our possible businesses:
* earth-sheltered greenhouse
* co-op food storage; tempeh-making
* strawbale cottages; 'earthship'
* solar-pv vehicles
* more fruit/nut trees & permaculture
Join us!

Hello I am planing on attending Gaia University this fall for an Eco-Social Design degree. As part of the degree program I am developing an international non-government organization. My goal is to educate/train and provide services to international rural and urban communities in sustainable living. The emphasis of the project will be on permaculture, natural building, water conservation and preservation, renewable energy, alternative currency, etc. I am currently working in collaboration with Tribal Networks who is working on providing a rural community in Morocco with internet as well as permaculture, and a couple of berber style buildings. The plan is to build a career center and school using permaculture and natural building principles. We are seeking the following; donations, ,volunteers, partnerships, fund raisers, collaborators, and any other assistance one would be able to provide. Thank you.

Community With Opening Zephyr Posted On 4/7/2009, Last Updated On 6/30/2009
We are looking for interested persons to help with Organic Farm and other sustainable activities at Eco Hotel in Costa Rica near beautiful Lake Arenal. This opportunity is available to all persons who genuinely want to live, learn, work and play, in a beautifully lush environment. There will be a contribution expected to help cover food costs, and we do prefer folks who can enjoy life without the abuse of addictive substances.
Notice to those interested in this opportunity. It has been put on hold for right now, but feel free to contact me, Zephyr, anytime. It may be back on track in Dec. But I don't know for sure? In fact, I don't know anything. That's the Truth...
