ORGANIC FARMING INTERNSHIPS AVAILABLE!
Hi, our community is offering live on-site internships in organic farming and community living.
Opportunities include hands-on experience in organic vegetable growing, organic fruit orchards, bee keeping, dairy production, and more!
We offer three amazing vegetarian meals a day, drumming, dancing and much more. We also are beginning work on an organic agriculture educational center and eco-community, which is practically unheard of in the Deep South! Come and be a part of this pioneering humanitarian project!

We have attracted several pleased WWOOFErs here already and are reaching out to those seeking a unique opportunity in our large spiritual community which was founded in 1974. We are a pure vegetarian community, drug free, and well established. We have early morning spiritual practices daily including chanting, dancing, and singing. We are located in rural southern Mississippi, with mild Winters and long hot Summers. There is no charge for the requested 1-6 month long internship and all of our spiritual practices and yoga are voluntary. We also offer community membership opportunities.
Please email us at newtalavanfarms@gmail.com for more info and an application. Haribol!

Seeking Community SitkaLady Posted On 2/8/2010, Last Updated On 2/8/2010
Hello!
I need a community tour companion!
I'm planning a road trip for an undetermined amount of time beginning in May. I would like to do a community tour around the United States. I have the goal of finding a community to live in one day, but am eager to learn more about intentional living.
I am a 23 year old female living in Alaska right now. I have a car and was planning on starting my trip in the southwest, but that's negotiable. I hope to find someone like minded to join me in my journey. I have a general idea of the places I want to visit, and I'd love to share it with you.

I hope to seek someone who is laid back, who shares the same ideas regarding intentional living, who is vegan/vegetarian, male or female. I have no issue with kids, or pets. I have a dog who would be with us. I hope only for free spirits, health conscious. I don't expect someone to spend months and months with me doing this, but that would be awesome if it worked out. I don't have much money, but I will have enough for food and gas between communities. I hope to find someone to split the costs with me.

E-mail me back if this sounds like something you'd dig. :)
Namaste!

Community Forming Mild Winters at an Affordable Adult Community Posted On 7/13/2009, Last Updated On 2/7/2010
Grow old along with me!
The best is yet to be.
The last of life, for which the first was made…
--Robert Browning

We are two friends, 54 and 63 years old. After investigating adult communities, and finding them very expensive and not really reflective of our social and eco-friendly values, we are exploring creating a community.

We are writers, artists, organic gardeners, quiet, considerate, tolerant, liberal, progressive. We love nature, reading, animals, art, honesty, humor.

We own and live on a beautiful 52-acre farm in central Alabama, near Birmingham, consisting of mature forest and rolling pasture, with a creek and swimming hole. We have built a small cabin, have a big organic garden and are converting an old barn into an art studio. We enjoy a year-round growing season.

Our idea: A community of 8–12 households in small-footprint, ecologically-friendly homes. A place where people who came of age during an idealistic time aren’t forced to abandon their way of being—of relating respectfully and meaningfully to other people and to nature—by the realities of getting older in difficult economic times.

Wheelchair friendly.

We welcome discussions with those who are interested. We would like to share more about the land and our plans, and hear your ideas as well.

We prefer phone calls as a way to connect. We have free long-distance, so feel free to ask us to call you right back.

Community Forming Sushant Posted On 2/6/2010, Last Updated On 2/6/2010
The Communeosho is an oasis of an alternative lifestyle and is an International Community of Friends. It is a place to dive into a transformative spiritual voyage, rejuvenate the body, connect with nature and celebrate life.

The project is based on the idea to establish a spiritual and eco-friendly community in India where spiritual work and natural or organic farming can be connected. We wanted to share and know more about how to carry on the project as well as interested to know any important guidelines and ideas you would like to share with me. Although the vision is inspired by the ideas of the Spiritual Mystic of India Osho; we are not biased with his only ideas and are open to new things and new ways. This is not a cult or an organised religion but a journey to inner world while being responsible for the outer world around us. We are searching for fellow travellers and like minded individuals who can contribute or join us.

The project most probably will be functional in Gujarat State, India, possibly in southern Gujarat or some remote comparatively colder region of Gujarat.

Invitation to the seekers and co-visionaries

We feel a lot of excitement to invite people from all over the world who wish to live in a spiritual community. We recommend you to initially write to us your ideas, willingness and commitment level to come and settle in the Commune. We require a lot of talented people from various aspects of life to come and join us to develop the commune with
