to read thru our blog to see what 'Living the good life' might look like. No snow, clear blue skies, great weather, abundant clean water, lots of solar energy, year round food production with aquaponics/ greenhouse- all leading to a very low monthly cost of living.

We offer:

- A beautiful 870 sq ft organic living area w/ cut stone walls, bamboo ceilings, tiled bathroom & kitchen, ceramic floor tiles, large studio/2nd bedroom (17.4'X14.8'),

- Infrastructure that includes solar hot water, PV panels for power, greenhouse for aquaponics and in-ground food production, food dehydrators, protected well for clean water source.

- Equal share of the land.

- Lots of loving spirit & service opportunities.

LaSenda is located in a beautiful river valley near San Miguel de Allende, in central Mexico-a UNESCO Heritage city of art and culture. 6,000 expats can testify that in many important ways we all experience 'the good life' here - in abundance.

Seeking Community Joshua Posted On 5/19/2013, Last Updated On 5/19/2013
Aloha . My name is Joshua. I am a 30 year old heterosexual, Quaker male. I currently reside in the southern part of New Jersey, near Philadelphia, and am very interested in the idea of community living. I have been working as a registered nurse in a city hospital for 3 years and to be honest I burnt out. Disheartened by the problems in healthcare and the obstacles that the system creates, I left my job and have spent the last year or so traveling. I have recently returned from a backpacking trip around Australia and have decided I am ready to go back to work. So I am here writing to offer myself and my services to anybody in need of them. In addition to nursing I have degrees in social work and computer science. I am also skilled in marine sciences and mechanical/electrical engineering. I know very little about carpentry or agriculture, and I only speak English, but am a fast learner and enjoy a challenge. If you think you have an appropriate niche in your community and could use some help please contact me @ jponter1@gmail.com. thanks
-Josh

Community Forming Karen Posted On 5/19/2013, Last Updated On 5/19/2013
Karen's Cottage is in the visionary stage. Karen, the owner, would like to create a small community at her home in South West Denver. She has lived in an intentional community for four years and would like to open her home up to one or two interested people (or possibly a small family). She is surrounded by great neighbors who have provided an informal community of welcome and support over the past year.
The home is near bus and bike routes, has fruit trees and vines, a growing vegetable garden, and plenty of room for socializing. The home also features a grand piano, guitars, ukuleles, and assorted drums and percussion instruments for those who are musically inclined. A fully stocked wood pile helps keep the wood burning stove going on cooler nights.
If you are interested in living in an intimate, friendly environment, please contact Karen. She is open to sharing expenses, chores, and cooking.

Community Forming Kim Scheidt Posted On 4/15/2013, Last Updated On 5/15/2013
Looking for self-motivated individuals to join egalitarian, family-style sub-community. Value simple living, feminism, permaculture, personal growth, living in alignment with the universe, living closely with the earth, not spending a whole lot of money, regenerative/sustainable living, non-violent & direct, honest & open communication.

Somewhat rustic setting (no running water/hot water on demand/indoor shower, no refrigerator, no washer/dryer). Located within network of other intentional communities.

Must be kid friendly. Prior community experience extremely helpful. Enjoy preparing & eating delicious food a plus. Need to be self-motivated.

We've got 8 acres in northeast MO with young orchards, garden, pond, greenhouse, high-tunnel hoop house, and want others to come help grow a thriving sub-community.
